Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS)

The Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) system is a domain name dispute resolution process used primarily for new generic top-level domains (gTLDs). It was created to provide a faster and lower-cost way for trademark owners to temporarily suspend domain names that are clearly infringing on their trademarks. Unlike the UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy), which can result in a domain being transferred, URS only suspends the domain for the remainder of its registration period.

Examples include

A trademark holder files a URS complaint, and the domain is quickly suspended
