DNS Lookup
A DNS (Domain Name System) lookup is the process of translating a human-readable domain name into the information needed to locate and connect to a website or online service. When someone types a domain into a browser, a DNS lookup finds the corresponding IP address and other DNS records that tell devices where to go.
